You know that family.
Maybe it's your kid and their spouse. Maybe it's your best friend. Maybe it's you.
They celebrate Hanukkah and Diwali. Or Christmas and Eid. Or Passover and Lunar New Year. They want their kids to grow up with both traditions woven in — the stories, the food, the feeling of it — but life is busy and traditions don't explain themselves.
You've been looking for a gift that gets it. Something that honors both. Something that shows up all year, not just in December.
That's what we built.
Every Forebear box is built around the universal lesson that lives inside the holiday.
Diwali is about light winning. Hanukkah is about courage in the dark. Passover is about fighting for freedom. Holi is about joy and starting fresh.
That's why Forebear works for every family — including the ones who aren't sure what they believe, but know they want their kids to know where they come from.
"A child doesn't need to be religious to carry Diwali's lesson. A child doesn't need to go to synagogue to understand what Passover is all about."
Before every holiday, a Forebear box arrives — with everything you need to make it meaningful, memorable, and actually fun for your kids.
A beautifully illustrated story built around the lesson inside the holiday — not a retelling. Something a 4-year-old feels and a parent remembers.
Something to do, touch, taste, or spin. Every box has at least one thing a kid can hold in their hands. The kit makes the holiday real.
Dressed for the occasion — every time. The Forebear is theirs to keep. One bear per tradition, each one a little different. Collect them all.
Whatever traditions live in the house, Forebear shows up for all of them.
More traditions coming. If your family's isn't here yet, join the waitlist and tell us.
We're an interfaith couple — one of us Jewish, one Indian-American and raised Hindu. When our son was born, we started talking about how to give him both of his heritages.
One of us had it easy. Growing up Jewish meant knowing how to celebrate Passover in a way that was fun and meaningful, even without being religious. The other didn't have that. He knew Diwali mattered — he just didn't know how to make it feel that way at home.
We looked for something that could help us. Something warm, fun, not preachy — that would make both traditions feel real for our son. There was nothing.
So we built Forebear.
Founding families get early access, a discount on the first year, and a direct line to us as we build. If you've been thinking "someone should make this" — you found it.
No spam. Just Forebear updates, and a heads up when we launch.
